Rental Conditions & Information

Here is some important information to help you plan your car rental. Please read notes carefully and call us if you need advice.

DRIVING AGE:
Minimum qualifying rental age of driver(s) for the above rates is 25 years. Drivers 21 to 24 years of age may be able to pay an additional charge, which varies by Dollar location - please ask for further details.

DRIVING LICENSE:
All renters must be in possession of a full national drivers license. If the driving license is not in English then an International Driving Permit will also be required. There is no minimum time for having held a driving license, however it must be the original as photocopied or faxed copies are not acceptable.

RENTAL QUALIFICATION:
A return airline ticket for each renter plus a Dollar Rental Voucher must be presented at time of car collection. Certain locations and car classes may require 2 additional forms of identification as a condition to rent.

DEPOSIT:
A credit card in the renters name is required to be presented to the rental station at the time of pick up. Clients who do not possess a major credit card will be asked to leave a deposit in cash amounting to the approximate cost of incidentals plus $300.00.

RENTAL RATES & PERIOD:
Rentals are charged from the date of collection and on a 24-hour basis from the time that you collect your car. Please check that your rental period meets with your requirements and note that local daily rates will be charged for any late return of vehicles.

DROP & INTERCITY POLICY:
Limited, same island, intercity rentals are available. They vary by DOLLAR location and vehicle availability. A fee of between $20.00 - $100.00 may also apply. Please contact us for further information.

RENTAL UPGRADE:
If you decide to upgrade your car at the commencement of rental, requests to rent a car from a higher car class than that reserved may be allowed at an additional charge, if a car from that higher class is available at the time the rental commences. Any such upgrade will be charged at local applicable rates.

RENTER PROTECTION: Dollar would always recommend that the renter takes Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) protection as a minimum requirement; and as such this is already included within our rental rates. When purchased LDW insures the driver against any financial loss due to damage of the rental vehicle, unless the renter has not compiled with the Rental Agreement. Dollar also offer the following packages locally, for renters who are not in possession of personal travel insurance, which does not offer cover for all the contingencies shown or those wishing to top up their existing cover, for Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI), Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) and Personal Effects Protection (PEP).

ADDITIONAL AUTHORIZED DRIVERS:
An additional authorized driver must satisfy the age requirements of the Dollar location, have a valid driver's license and must meet other rental requirements. An additional charge may apply, which varies by driver age and Dollar location - please ask for further details.

CHILD SEATS:
By law, children under 5 years of age must be properly secured in a child passenger restraint. Child seats must be requested at time of booking and are payable locally. IMPORTANT: Parents will be asked to install these restraints themselves.

DISABLED RENTERS:
If you require driving aids to operate a vehicle, please advise us at time of booking. This will ensure availability of equipment and allow Dollar personnel to install such equipment prior to your rental.

VEHICLE TYPES:
Vehicles shown are examples. Specific models within car class may vary in availability and features, such as luggage capacity and passenger seating. Some cars may not be available at some locations.

LOST VOUCHERS:
As vouchers represent proof of payment Dollar are at liberty to refuse services booked.

REFUNDS:
Car rental vouchers not used in their entirety unfortunately cannot be refunded.
