Location
Beyond Highway 31, a few miles south of Wailea, lies the beautiful Makena Beach area. Renowned in the late sixties as the Xanadu for free spirited hippies, today Makena is home to a spectacular 36-hole golf course, luxury condominiums and the Maui Prince Hotel.
The hotel is beside one of Maui's most spectacular unspoilt beaches, and faces the islet of Molokini, whilst immediately behind the resort are the slopes of 10,000 foot Mount Haleakala.

| Description |
The main structure of the hotel, housing the guestrooms and restaurants, is built atrium style around a Japanese meditation garden, with waterfalls, koi ponds and tropical plants.
The main lobby of the hotel is adjacent to the gardens and at check in, you will be welcomed by receiving a floral lei greeting. You will soon become aware of the serene and tranquil ambience of this lovely resort.
The rooms, most of which face the ocean, are well appointed in traditional island décor and all have a private lanai (balcony).
