The 42 acre lagoon park is composed of seven authentic villages representing the cultures, in dance, song, lifestyle, costumes and architecture of, Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, Tahiti, Tonga The Marquessas and New Zealand.
The majority of the people who work at the center are Pacific Island students from the nearby Brigham Young University. The PCC is a non-profit making organization run by the Mormon Church.

The center opens at noon, and is a full day trip from Waikiki, a popular itinerary is to arrive early afternoon and stay for the evening luau, a Hawaiian buffet and show.
Around mid May the World Fire-Knife Dance Championships and Samoan Festival is held at PCC this amazing spectacle attracts participants from the entire Pacific region and also features authentic Samoan food and cultural celebrations.

The visitor can explore the villages by wandering through the park or by using the waterways that wind their way through the grounds. There is a daily Pageant of the Long Canoes; commencing at 2.30 pm. Children can learn the games played by Polynesian and Melanesian children.
