Waikiki is unique, it enjoys one of finest climates in the world, with year round sunshine, warm pacific waters and one of the cleanest, safest and finest beaches to be found anywhere, with excellent swimming and of course, this is the home of surfing.
The resort of Waikiki faces south to the ocean. To the east are the parks of Kapiolani and the extinct volcano of Diamond Head and to the west are Fort de Russy, the yacht harbor and Ala Moana Beach Park. To the north is the Ala wai canal and the green mountains and valleys of the Ko'olaou range.

You do not need a car to enjoy Waikiki and the resort offers a complete range of accommodation from budget to world class superior deluxe. The restaurants have the widest possible choice imaginable. Most outstanding is the Pacific Rim cuisine and the seafood; both exceptional, as you would expect, from islands surrounded by ocean and many thousands of miles from the nearest landmass.
Shopping, in Waikiki would satisfy any shopaholic and nearby is Ala Moana, one of the worlds largest shopping centers, much of which is open air with delightful floral and water displays.

Entertainment and activities abound from excellent shows, pop concerts, cultural activities and clubs. There are many excursion opportunities, including submarine rides, whale watching, giant surf in the winter and Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial. Amongst many other choices are, The Polynesian Cultural Center, Sea Life Park, you can swim and make friends with the fish at Hanauma Bay Marine Nature Reserve, or visit The Bishop Museum, (the museum of the Pacific.)
